Turkish Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Board of Directors provides various scholarships and supports to the members of the association in order to contribute to scientific studies. We hope that these supports will reach their goals and increase quality of our scientific studies.

OVERSEAS EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT

In order to open new horizons and increase the knowledge and experience of our young colleagues, Turkish Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition will provide overseas education support to 2 young pediatric gastroenterology fellows/experts in 2023 who meet the following criteria. Supports will be given to candidates who met the criteria and submitted the required documents in full, in the order of application. In case of the applications coincide the same date, the quantity and quality of the previous publications of the candidates will be effective in the decision. Support will be given for at least 3 months of training. 30,000 TL will be paid for 3 months, and 10,000 TL will be paid for following each month for trainings that will last longer than 3 months. Support may not exceed 6 months and 60,000 TL . Applications will be open until the end of 2022.

Conditions:

1. Being a citizen of the Republic of Turkey

2. Having a document providing relevant foreign language proficiency

3. Working in the public sector as a fellow, specialist, doctor lecturer or associate professor.

Required Documents:

1. Curriculum vitae and list of publications

2. A letter stating the purpose of going abroad, the centre to be visited and the duration of stay

3. Foreign language proficiency certificate (which meets the requirements for the Associate Professorship exam)

4. Acceptance letter from the relevant centre and permission letter of the candidates’ institution

5. Compulsory work in a public health institution in Turkey for at least 2 times the duration of the training

SUPPORT OF SCIENTIFIC PROJECTS

Turkish Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition will support 3 projects in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition in 2023 to encourage scientific publications. Project deadline will be December 31 2022. A maximum of 30,000 TL will be given to the first-placed project, a maximum of 25,000 TL for the second, and a maximum of 20,000 TL for the third. Support will not cover infrastructure equipment (computer, etc.), travel and personal expenses. Project applications will be evaluated by the jury, which is determined by the Society Board of Directors, consisting of 5 principal and 2 substitute members, one of which is from the Board of Directors. Faculty members who will take part in the jury must not have participated in the relevant projects.

RESEARCH OF THE YEAR AWARD

In order to encourage and reward scientific publications, Turkish Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition will give a prize of 7,500 TL in 2021 to original research articles published in journals within the scope of SCI-Expanded in the field of Pediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition. (Review, case report, letter to the editor, short report will not be accepted) The application will be made by the researcher who is in the first place in the article or corresponding author, with a letter signed by all other authors. The application deadline is December 31 2022.

NATIONAL PEDIATRIC GASTROENTEROLOGY HEPATOLOGY AND NUTRITION CONGRESS BEST PAPERS AWARD

Awards will be given to the best 3 oral presentations to be presented within the scope of the National Turkish Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition Congress to be held in 2024.

In the field of oral presentation, the awards are 7,500 TL for the first, 5,000 TL for the second and 3,000 TL for the third.
